How to Clean a Countertop

Clear all items and appliances off the counters before cleaning. Wipe the bottom of the items with a damp washcloth to avoid bringing dirt back to the counter when you put them back.

Wet a sponge and cover it in a mild dish detergent. Scrub the countertops thoroughly.

Soak a washcloth in hot water and wring it out. Rinse the counterops, and repeat until the soap is gone.

Dry the counters with a soft towel.

Mix together baking soda and water into a watery paste for tough spills. Dip the sponge into the mixture and scrub the stain. Rinse and dry.
