Instructions

1
Use a hobby knife to cut the pieces of the model jet off the sprue. The sprue is the plastic frame the model pieces are attached to.
-
2
Sand each part to remove any slivers of plastic on the edge of the pieces. Wash each piece thoroughly with soap and water.
-
-
3
Separate the pieces by their type and place them in plastic cups. Label each cup so you know which parts are in each cup.
-
4
Paint the interior parts of the jet. These will include all of the cockpit pieces and, if you are building a passenger jet, all of the seats in the passenger sections.
-
5
Paint the wheels black. Slip each wheel onto a toothpick and carefully paint the wheel with your paint brush.
-
6
Paint the body of the plane any color you want. This is where you can express your creativity. Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours.
-
7
Glue the engine pieces together and then glue the engine to the body of the jet. Glue on the cockpit and other interior pieces. Don't use too much glue or it will ooze onto the body.
-
8
Secure the wheels to the jet plane. Glue the canopy over the cockpit if your plane is a fighter jet. Add decals to the body if you wish.
