How to Remove Outlook Express Icons

Microsoft Outlook Express is an email program and newsgroup reader that is included by default with the Internet Explorer installation. You can use Outlook Express to send and receive email from POP email accounts, but you can't connect to a Microsoft Exchange server using Outlook Express. You can customize the appearance of Outlook Express in a number of ways. For example, you can remove Outlook Express icons from the Outlook Express menu bar.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Click the "Start" button; then click "All Programs" in the Start menu. Click the "Outlook Express" icon in the list of installed programs. This opens Outlook Express.

  2. Step 2

    Click "View" in the Outlook Express menu bar, then click "Layout." This opens the Window Layout Properties window.

  3. Step 3

    Click to check the box next to "Toolbar"; then click the "Customize Toolbar" button. This opens the Customize Toolbar window.

  4. Step 4

    Click the icon you want to remove from the Outlook Express menu bar; then click the "Remove" button.

  5. Step 5

    Click the "Close" button to close the Customize Toolbar window. Click the "Apply" button and then the "OK" button to close the Window Layout Properties window and complete the process.
