Landscape pavers are an excellent material to install as a garden path or patio, and if grout is used between the pavers the result is a maintenance free area which no weeds can infiltrate. When grout is dripped or smeared onto the pavers and not cleaned up immediately; the result is an unsightly glob or residue which ruins the uniform look of the pavers. While tedious, it's not too complicated to clean dried grout from pavers.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Lay a putty knife or chisel against the lump of dried grout, positioning the putty knife at a 45 degree angle.

  2. Step 2

Strike the handle end of the putty knife sharply with a hammer, taking care not to gouge or chip the paver. The globule of grout will break loose from the paver.

  3. Step 3

Scrub the remaining residue of dried grout using a wire brush in a brisk back-and-forth motion. This will lift the whitish film of grout that is left.

  4. Step 4

Rinse the pavers to remove all loosened grout and allow to air dry.

  5. Step 5

Examine the dried pavers for any spots of grout you may have missed. Repeat the process for all droplets and smears of grout that may remain.
