Things You'll Need:
- 18.25 ounces (oz) German Chocolate Cake Mix
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Oil
- 2 Cups Shredded Coconut
- Lightly greased cookie sheet (makes about 3 dozen total)
- 1 Tbsp Measure (To measure cookies)
- Pastry Mixer
- Medium Mixing Bowl
- Coconut Pecan Frosting (optional)

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and ensure that baking rack is on middle setting.

German Chocolate Cake Cookie DoughAdd cake mix, 2 eggs and 1/2 cup oil into a medium size mixing bowl. With a pastry mixer blend until smooth then add the coconut and blend in until coconut is evenly distributed throughout the dough. Toward the end of the mixing you may find it easier to kneed with clean hands.

Cookie dough properly spacedUsing your 1 Tbsp measure, scoop out 1 measure of dough rounding it into a ball with your hands and placing 12 of these on a cookie sheet spaced about 2 inches apart as shown in the picture.

Fresh German Chocolate Cake CookiesPlace the cookie sheet in the over and bake for 11 - 12 minutes.
**If you make larger cookies (2 Tbsp of dough) cook for 15 minutes.
Remove and let cool on hot cookie sheet for 10 - 15 minutes. -
Step 5
German Chocolate Cake Cookies With Coconut Pecan Frosting.For a scrumptious addition before serving top each cookie with about a grape size amount of coconut pecan frosting.
