Things You'll Need:
- 1 oz Beeswax
- 4 oz Safflower Oil
- 1 tsp Essential oil-any Flavor(optional)
- 1 canning jar
- Stir stick
- Jar remover(Oven Mitt)
- A Sauce Pan or Pot
- lip balm tubes

Step 1
Wash your beeswax with soap and cold water, rinse well, shake off excess water. Do not dry with a towel. This will remove any dust or residue. Put the wax in your canning Jar and place it in a pot of water. Start out with just a small amount of water in the pot so the jar float or tip over.

Start heating the pot at Medium -High heat, try not to let the water boil. Keep the water at 140 degrees. Once the wax starts to melt a little add the 4oz Safflower to the jar with the wax. You can add more water to the pot. Do not add water to the jar. Stir the contents of the jar often until the wax is completely melted.

Step 3
Once contents of jar is completely melted remove jar from pot of water. The jar and mixture is very hot please use jar remover or oven mitt.

Sit jar too the side and let cool until you can touch the side of the jar and not get burned. Once you can handle the jar comfortably start adding your essential oil(Add recommended amount at first then more if you want it more fragrant. Stir well, and then carefully transfer into your lip balm containers.

Let cool completely before placing cap. If the mixture hardens, place the jar back into the pot of hot water an stir until it re-liquefies.
