Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Self Control
  • A Quiet Place
  • Some Time Alone
  • Supportive friends and family
  1. Step 1

Remove yourself from your source of anger.

If a friend, your husband, wife, child, enemy, tv show, boss, who (or what) ever is making you angry, just get away from the source of anger. Find a spot where you can go to calm down, breathe, and then continue your daily activities.

  2. Step 2

Exercise or do some physically strenuous activity.

This will help you release some of that tension, stress, and emotions in a healthy, positive way. It also releases endorphins into your body that will assist in calming you down. Also try listening to music or an iPod while you are exercising to tune you out from the world. Hey, anything helps!

Push yourself, go that extra mile, run when you would normally walk, or do an extra set. The exertion will help you take your mind off of the things that are bugging you.

  3. Step 3

    Find a quiet place.

Go to your room, study, office, bathroom, closet, etc. Find a place that you can sit and relax. You can be away from everyone and everything, the computer, tv, cats, kids, friends, family, spouses, etc. Breathe. Pray. Meditate. Calm… down… Breathe deeply, in and out. This is another important step in the process. Learning How to Stop Anger is so important for anyone, because it hurts your relationships, and if you keep bottling it up, worse things can happen!
