Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

First, pick out the color or themed fleece fabric you want. They will cut it down to whatever size you desire at the store. Solid colors, animal patterns or popular television characters are popular choices. You should get two pieces of the same size.

  2. Step 2

Next, lay down your pieces on a flat surface like a large table or the floor, one on top of the other. At each of the four corners cut a square about 4 inches wide and 4 inches tall.

  3. Step 3

After that, cut slits on every side of your blanket about 4 inches tall and one inch wide. The number of slits will vary depending on how big your blanket is however a child’s blanket usually contains about 30 slits per side.

  4. Step 4

Take the fabric between each slide and tie it into a double knot. This will prevent it from falling apart. You should do this to ever slit all the way around your blanket.

  5. Step 5

When you are finished tying, your blanket is completed. No need to sew or glue anything together, the blanket is held together by a strong double knot.
