Things You'll Need:
- Approx. 10 different ribbons, ranging from 1 inch to 7/8 of an inch.
- Ruffle ribbon and small scraps of unusual pieces such as fabric or jute rope.
- The barret of your choice
- 26 gaige wire
- Hot glue and a hot glue gun

Step 1
I choose the colors of my choice and I start off with 6 colors in my hand. I leave about 1 1/2 inches of ribbon hanging off and then start wiring it very tightly to the barret. I usually wrap it about 4 or 5 times. Move down the ribbon about 3 or 4 inches, leaving plenty of room to make a loop. Do not make the loops perfect or straight. Continue this step until you have about 5 or 6 loops on the barret. When making the loops move them side to side to keep from making a straight line of loops going down the barret.
Separate each ribbon pulling them at different angles, making a full bow. Once finished, cut the wire as close as you can to the barret to keep it from hanging loose. -
Step 2
Choose which 2 ribbons you would like to cut into a "V" or in half. This will leave some ribbons poking out or sticking out of the bow. Then the fun starts...... I start choosing the smaller of the ribbon and cut them into 6 or 7 inch pieces, pinching the middles and adding them with hot glue to various parts of the bow. This makes it look like there are cut pieces of ribbon throughout the entire bow. Add to the bow whatever you like such as fabric wire pieces of ribbon or pipe cleaners. Also, at the Dollar Tree there are fabric curly ribbon already for wrapped presents. This makes a GREAT additive to your bow.

Step 3
The last step is to get a thin piece of ribbon long enough to cover the wire underneath the barret and hot glue it there. Trim all the loose ends of the ribbon making it look more professional.
