1
Measure your television and other components and measure the inside of the armoire. This step is to insure that the armoire is large enough to hold the equipment, as well as leaving about 3 inches all the way around for air circulation.
-
2
Remove any shelves and drawers that need to be removed in order to place the television inside. Some shelves are nailed in place, others are glued, or even sitting on pegs. Removal shouldn't be difficult as long as you take the time to figure out how they are secured. You may need a hammer or pliers for this step, depending on the shelves and drawers.

3
Use a jigsaw to cut a 2-inch square hole in the back of the armoire for electric and cable cords to run through. Before cutting, check which side of the television your cord is on and where the components will connect.
-
4
Cut a hole through any remaining shelves that cords will need to pass through to get to the television or the hole in the back to reach a power outlet.
-
5
Place your components into the armoire and connect them to the television before placing the television all the way inside. This way you won't have to move the television again to hook everything up.
