Instructions

Visit a craft or hobby store to purchase some black foam craft paper. Get one sheet of foam craft paper for each guest. Get enough headbands for all of your party guests from a store such as a Target. Be sure to buy flat headbands that have enough room to attach the ears.

Make a stencil. Find a glass, cup or bowl with an opening that is between 10 and 12 inches across. Turn the cup upside down on a piece of paper so the opening of the cup, glass or bowl is flat on the paper. Use a pencil to trace around the opening of the cup, glass or bowl. Make a total of two traces of the cup, glass or bowl on the paper. These will be used to help make the ears.

Make your ear stencils look like Mickey Mouse ears. Take the piece of paper with the two tracings and cut them out with a pair of scissors. Stack the two circles on top of each other and cut a straight line across the bottom of the circles. About an inch should be cut off to leave a flat bottom for the ear.

Cut out the ears. Take your ear stencils and lay them on a sheet of black foam craft paper and trace each one with a pencil, which should show up. If it doesn't show up enough, use a crayon or chalk. Once you have traced the outline onto the craft paper, cut out the ears with scissors. Repeat on all of your black foam craft paper sheets.

Glue the ears to the headbands using a hot glue gun. Apply a thin line of glue on the headband top where you want to attach each ear. Hold the ear in place for 30 seconds to let it set up and then set aside to dry for two hours. Do not put the ears side by side so that they touch as Mickey's ears are spaced apart a little bit.
