- Lemons or lemon juice
- Chamomile essential oil

Rub vitamin E oil onto the hyperpigmented area. This is a natural remedy to fight off hyperpigmentation that is also used to lighten scars and age spots. Massage about a dime-sized amount onto the affected area at least twice a day.

Cut a lemon in half and massage one half against the hyperpigmented area on your skin. Lemon is a natural skin and hair lightener that is used to lighten dark spots on the skin and bring out highlights in the hair. Alternatively, you can squeeze some lemon juice into a bowl, then use a cotton pad to apply it to your skin.

Apply chamomile essential oil to lighten hyperpigmentation resulting from a chemical peel. Like lemon, chamomile is also a natural skin lightener. Rub a few drops of the essential oil deep into your skin at least once a day for best results.

Use a lotion containing hydroquinone. If the hyperpigmentation is particularly dark, hydroquinone may be the best solution, as it's a very powerful skin bleach. It is available over the counter at concentrations of 2 percent, but you can obtain a higher concentration (4 percent) from a physician or dermatologist.
