InPrivate Browsing doesn't record your Internet activity.

Typically, an Internet browser keeps a record of the sites you visit and the search terms you type when you use it. Internet Explorer 8 has a feature called InPrivate Browsing that automatically deletes temporary Internet files and cookies when you close the browser. Information like passwords and other form data and pages visited are not stored when you use InPrivate Browsing. There are several ways to activate InPrivate Browsing in IE8.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on "Safety." Select "InPrivate Browsing."

    • 2

Press the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "P" keys on your keyboard at the same time to activate InPrivate Browsing.

    • 3

Open a new tab in IE8 and click on "Open an InPrivate Browsing Window."
