You don't have to endure plastic surgery to have fuller-looking lips. Lip plumping surgeries such as silicone injections can take time to heal and don't always turn out perfectly. Simple lip makeup techniques can give your lips the illusion of looking larger, fuller. Makeup techniques work well for any skin color or type and aren't permanent solutions to thin-lip problems. With some practice you can make your lips look fuller in just a few steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foundation makeup
  • Lip liner in a color slightly lighter than your lipstick
  • Lip stick
  • Lip gloss
  • Mirror
  1. Step 1

Apply your foundation, blush and eye makeup just as you normally do. It's okay to apply foundation to your lips if you usually do.

  2. Step 2

Starting on the outer right top edge of your lip, draw a line with the liner to the middle point of your lip. Draw the lip liner slightly above your normal lip line.

  3. Step 3

Draw a line slightly above your lip line on the left side of your upper lip. Connect in the center where you drew the other line.

  4. Step 4

Do the same on the bottom lip. Draw with your lip liner from the right side to the center. Repeat from the left side to the center.

  5. Step 5

Fill in the drawn area with your lip color. Use a lip brush to apply the lipstick or color.

  6. Step 6

Top lips off with a clear gloss to make them appear even fuller.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't use dark, matte colors on thin lips. It gives the illusion that the lips are even smaller.
