Whether studying for an AP Biology Exam or an AP European Exam, the basics of AP exam preparation is the same.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • AP Review Book
  1. Step 1

The first (and most critical) step in AP exam preparation is to pay attention during your AP class.

  2. Step 2

About a month before your AP exam begins, you should begin reviewing for your AP exam. The first step in your preparation is to buy an AP review book (check out http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2065359/a_review_of_the_best_ap_review_books.html?cat=4 for advice on picking the best AP review book)

  3. Step 3

You should plan to read the entire review book in preparation for the exam. It would be best to create a schedule so that you are able to dedicate significant time to reading the entire book. If you do not have enough time to read the review book completely, then skim through the headers in the book and highlight the headers that you do not understand. Then, go back and read the sections that you have highlighted.

  4. Step 4

When you are finished reviewing the book, take a practice test. These can be found at the back of most review books and also at sparknotes.com. Review the questions you get wrong, and make sure you understand why you got each answer wrong.

Tips & Warnings
