How to Make Sweet Corn Bread From Scratch

How to Make Sweet Corn Bread From Scratchthumbnail
Sweet cornbread is the perfect complement to a bowl of chili.

Native Americans learned how to dry corn and grind it into cornmeal. Since its introduction to Europe in the 17th century, cornmeal has replaced other grains in breads and puddings. The most basic cornbread recipe includes cornmeal, eggs, flour and milk, but you can add ingredients and make it as plain or as sweet as you like.
