Use Gmail as Your Personal Storage Space

With the ubiquity of online email, it only seems logical that Gmail could become someones place to store their personal information,
personal emails, personal thoughts, personal plans, personal goals...you get the idea: personal anything. Gmail is a particularly
good choice because of the way it can filter your messages using labels and folders. Add in Gmail's superb search box and huge mailbox,
you truly could collect anything in Gmail.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gmail Account
  1. Step 1

First, you have to understand how Gmail's labels work. In "Settings",
go to "Labels". Then set a filter so your mail automatically gets
organized. So, for example, I might want label everything from John
with the label "John". With this feature you can do this.

  2. Step 2

It is also good because of its high storage limit. Currently mine is
at 7360 MB which is larger than most flash drives. That means you can
    store photos, documents, and videos.

  3. Step 3

Also, Gmail's 20 MB attachment limit is higher than Microsoft
Exchange's limit as well as most email services limit. This will allow
you to store basically anything except large media files.

  4. Step 4

One of the best ways to accumulate files and documents is by sending emails to yourself.

  5. Step 5

It is advisable, however, to use an email client to download messages using POP. Thunderbord is probably would be your best choice. It's free for download.
