How to Deal with a Bad Customer
Ever get one of those customers that simply won't hang up the phone? No matter what you tell them, they still don't understand. They want to make it clear to you that you are the person who is wrong. Customer is always right. They want to escalate the issue. They are just a pain in the rear.

The first thing I suggest is be patient. I know this is extremely hard
when there is someone irrational on the other line. You almost have to
treat them like children. They are spouting because they are ignorant.
So being patient, while hard, is necessary. You will never be able to
get through to them if you aren't patient. -

The next thing you have to be is logical. Bad customers tend to come
to illogical conclusions. If you are the paragon of rationality, their
front will have to come down. Even the ignorant falter in the face of
logic. Spell it out for them if you have to. -

It is also important to not be on the defensive. People naturally
sense weakness, so do you best to put on a face of confidence. Your
words have more authority when they are backed up with confidence.
That's why bluffing in poker is an effective technique.
