Feng Shui Your Home Effectively

The basics of feng shui which will dramatically improve the energy of your home are as follows -

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

De-clutter - there is a logical place for everything in the house. For example the kitchen knives go in the kitchen, for smooth flow of energy de-clutter your kitchen surfaces and make drawers to keep the stuff in. Do the same for the rest of the house - except for the decoration the rest of the items have a place of their own in your drawers and cupboards. Remove the things you have not used for more than 5 years into the attic or storage, if you don't need them give them away or hold a garage sale. This process has deep psychological roots - it helps you clear the clutter in your mind and reorganize your life.

  2. Step 2

Invite light and air into your home - open your home, heart and mind to the early morning light and breeze. This will sweep your home of the accumulated negative energy and air. This natural ventilation is any day better than the air-conditioned environments we live in. The full spectrum light of the sun has wavelengths which are lethal to harmful bacteria and viruses. Add plants to your home - these are a good indicator of the energy in your homes. The healthier they are the better is the energy of your home; they also absorb the carbon dioxide.

  3. Step 3

Use the Bagua - it indicates the various sectors of your home which are related to certain aspects of your life. For example: the southeast is related to wealth - so decorating this sector will enhance your money luck, the southeast is for romance and marital luck.

  4. Step 4

Know the Feng Shui Theory of Five Elements - as this will help you strengthen the areas you wish to enhance in your life. For example add wood and water to the southeast of your home to invite overall prosperity in your home - as water nurtures wood in the cycle of elements.

  5. Step 5

Find out the Kua number - of each of your family members and encourage them to use their best directions. For example, the Kua number 4 are east people and their best directions are north, east, south east and south for general prosperity in life, to improve relationships, to increase knowledge and health, respectively.

  6. Step 6

Watch the energy of your home - the house begins to feel tired and heavy when negative energy is accumulating. Keep an eye on the feng shui triangle of your kitchen, bedroom and bath room.
