Throwing a frisbee can be fun. A frisbee accurately thrown can reach long distances. There are several frisbee games to play from simply playing catch to playing ‘Ultimate Frisbee’. There are several things that you can to be have better control and accuracy in your frisbee throwing. This article will give you advice on how to throw a frisbee like a pro.

Things You'll Need:

  • Frisbee
  1. Step 1

    With the frisbee in hand, hold onto the side of it with one hand with the thumb on top. You’re index or pointer finger should line the rim of the frisbee. With your other fingers, put them on the bottom of the frisbee for support.

  2. Step 2

    Don’t grip the frisbee too hard. It should be loose enough to allow for a smooth throw.

  3. Step 3

    Line your body up with the target. Stand with your feet about a foot apart.

  4. Step 4

    Extend your other hand slightly for balance. The entire process of throwing a frisbee should be easy and smooth.

  5. Step 5

    Twist your torso after you have lined up to your target. Curl your wrist and forearm around the frisbee as you get read to throw it

  6. Step 6

    Swing your torso back towards the target to straighten it and uncurl your wrist and forearm. Release the frisbee curved slightly upwards. After you release it, your index finger should be pointing towards the target.

  7. Step 7

    To throw a frisbee a longer distance, have a running start. Throwing towards the direction the wind is blowing can make it go farther as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • For longer distance frisbee throwing, try having a running start.
