Things You'll Need:
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 cup pumpkin or sunflower seeds (without the shell)
- 2 oz unsweetened coconut
- 1/2 cup raisins
-
Step 1
This is a super easy, healthy snack you can take anywhere. This will make approx. 16 servings of 1/4 cup each. I divide this up and put into baggies so I can grab them when I'm on the run.
-
Step 2
Just mix all your ingredients and divide up into individual portions. These are great to have around to take to the movies or for a quick snack between meals. This is also a really great snack for children. It has very little sugar and the sugar that it does have are natural sugars. It is high in protein and high in fiber, which is always essential when following a low carb lifestyle.
-
Step 3
If there is an item you don't particularly like you can substitute a number of things such as walnuts, soy nuts, different types of seeds or dried fruits (that you make). Be weary of dried fruits that you buy at the grocery store, they contain alot of sugar. If you have a dehydrator you can always dehydrate your own fruit. This is alot healthier because you won't get the additional sugar that is added during the processing.
