Things You'll Need:
- Content site that you wish to maximize
- Google Adwords Keyword Tool
-
Step 1
Before you start writing any article, you should go to the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and type in the subject about which you will be writing. Be sure that the radio button for "descriptive words and phrases" is clicked and that the "use synonyms" box is checked.
-
Step 2
If you find an equally appropriate keyword that has a higher CPC (cost per click), then make sure that the volume of searches each month is adequate for your needs and that the advertiser competition bar is mostly if not completely green. This means that there are lots of advertisers wanting to bid on that keyword so that cost (and your revenue) will remain higher.
-
Step 3
If you already have content, you can check the radio button for "website content" and insert your URL in the search box. The Keyword Tool will search your website and offer ideas for keywords.
-
Step 4
You can look over these keyword ideas and see if any slight modifications in your content will result in better paying keywords. In this way, you can make more money.
