1. Become an office cleaner, housekeeper or organizer. You can check with local cleaning companies or start out on your own. Some people are willing to pay someone to come in and reorganize closets and storage areas to make them more presentable.

2. Research opportunities as a Pet Sitter\Dog Walker\Pooper Scooper. Yes, people actually pay others to clean up after their animals. You can check with friends, neighbors and relatives or place an ad in a local paper or online classifieds.

3. Check the paper or stop into restaurants to make extra money as Wait Staff or a Bartender

4. Create or assemble crafts or jewelry and sell them at local street fairs or flea markets.

5. If you have music training or experience, you could be a vocal coach or provide lessons for different instruments. Check with your local music supply stores, colleges or school districts to see if anyone has opportunities available.

6. Become a Tutor. There are online tutoring opportunities available or you could post an ad in the classifieds. Also, you might have a tutoring center near you like Sylvan or Huntington. These may require teaching certifications but others might not.

7. Conduct odd jobs by asking friends, neighbors or relatives if they need assistance with anything. Search craigslist for things like a handyman, painter, etc.

8. Become a babysitter or house sitter. Many people are willing to pay someone to stay at their house while they are on vacation so that the plants are watered, pets are fed, or just to be there in case of an emergency like a broken water pipe. Check within your network of family and friends or post an ad online or in a local paper.

9. Offer simple landscaping services like weeding, flower planting, grass cutting,etc. You could even check with local landscaping companies to see if they have any part-time work available.

10. Check with local sports leagues to become a referee. This could range from little league to adult sports.

12. Offer artistic services like mural paintings, custom paintings, invitations and more.

13. Check with your local grocery or department stores to become night stock person.

14. Check with your local casino to become a blackjack dealer.

15. Have a yardsale and ask friends and family if they have anything they want to give away. Then you can sell it.

16. Check job listing for part-time assistant opportunities. These can have flexible hours for letter drafting, filing, etc.

17. Check with local catering companies to see if they are hiring. Most events will be on the weekends so the hours would be flexible.

18. Research opportunities as demo staff. These are the people that demo products at places like Costco. There are agencies out there that hire for these opportunities.

19. Participate in clinical trials or research studies. You can research these online or check with local universities.

20. Perform computer repairs and maintenance as a side job. Post ads online or in the newspaper or check with local computer consulting companies to see if they have part-time work available.

21. Check with your local convention center, stadium or ampitheater to see if they are hiring. You could be an usher at special events or serve refreshments.

22. Offer editing services for companies or students. Check with local companies to see if there is any part-time work available.

23. Become a mystery shopper. You might not make a lot of money doing this but you can get a lot of free things like meals, movie tickets or money to spend at a retail store.

24. Become a pizza delivery person. The hours are flexible and you can make pretty good tips.

25. Check with your local paper to see if they are hiring delivery personnel.

26. Check with the Red Cross or Central Blood Bank to see if they pay people to donate plasma.

27. Become a professional shopper. If you have a flare for fashion, you can help those who do not by assisting them with coordinating outfits and accessories.

28. Check the retail stores to see if they are hiring. Not only will you make extra money, but you will also get an employee discount.

29. Check with your local temp agencies to see if they have any opportunities that might fit your schedule and experience.

30. Become a billboard! There are companies out there that will pay you to put advertisements on the outside of your car. Some might even provide a car.

31. Become a personal sales consultant or research other network marketing opportunities. These include companies like Mary Kay, Premiere Jewelry, Avon, Pampered Chef, Candlelite, etc.

32. Become a DJ or KJ (karaoke jockey). There are start up costs involved unless you get in with a company that might provide the equipment. Check with local entertainment agencies that provide various entertainers for special events and children's parties.

33. Become an entertainer for kids' or family parties or other special events. You can draw caricatures, dress up in costume, juggle, etc.

34. Become a party planner. There are many resources out there that can assist you. You just need to advertise to get your name out there.

35. Become a model. Check with local agencies or local photographers.

36. Wash cars and clean interiors. Start by offering services to people you know.

37. Become a home helper or errand runner. Many families hire someone to do this part-time to help them with the little things. Place an ad in local papers and online classifieds.
