Things You'll Need:
- chicken wire
- twist ties
- 2 tent stakes
- wire snips
-
Step 1
First get about 6 feet of chicken wire and wrap it up in a circle.
-
Step 2
Use the twist ties to hold the chicken wire together so it stays in a circular shape. Over lap the wire and few inches for a solid hold.
-
Step 3
Use the tent stakes to stake the circle shaped chicken wire to the ground. This will help it to stay put in high winds, floods, or other backyard disasters.
-
Step 4
My hole to dig out compostNow cut a small hole at the bottom of the chicken wire just big enough so you can get your fresh nutrient filled compost out of the chicken wire. Be sure to cut off any wire that will cut you while reaching in for the compost.
-
Step 5
Fresh compost from my dead plantsNow find some grass clipping, bush trimmings, leaves, old vegetables plants, or anything you want to compost and fill the chicken wire up. You should have ready to use compost in about 6 weeks or longer depending on your conditions, location, and bug population. Enjoy!!
