How to Play Power Ball Lottery
If you dream of winning millions of dollars in the lottery, the first step is to play since you can't win if you don't play. Powerball tickets are available in 42 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as of the time of publication. The drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:59 Eastern time. Five white balls are selected out of 59 possible and one red ball is selected out of 39. Other than the red ball, numbers don't have to be chosen in a particular order. The jackpot is for the person who matches all six numbers; second-prize, $200,000 as of the time of publication, is awarded for matching all five white numbers. Matching the red Powerball is an automatic win.
