This article will describe how to make and serve bruschetta. This recipe is great to serve as an appetizer or as a healthy snack.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 ripe plum tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ large onion
  • Fresh basil
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 baguette
  • Butter
  1. Step 1

First assemble the ingredients for the bruschetta: 6 ripe plum tomatoes, 2 cloves garlic, ½ large onion, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.

  2. Step 2

Cut the tomatoes, onion, garlic and basil into small quarter inch size pieces. Then place them into a medium size bowl or Tupperware.

  3. Step 3

Mix the tomatoes, onion, garlic and basil in the medium size bowl or Tupperware container with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, a splash of lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  4. Step 4

Serve the bruschetta on a sliced baguette. I prefer the baguette to be sliced diagonally because this gives you more surface area to place the bruschetta. The baguette should also be buttered and broiled until it is crisp. The edges of the baguette will begin to brown when the baguette is read to be pulled out of the broiler.

  5. Step 5

    Enjoy

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not add to much lemon juice or the bruschetta will taste to acidic
