There is no better summer time treat than fresh corn on the cob. Cooking your ears of corn in the microwave makes it easier to enjoy at any time. By using a wet paper towel the corn steams in the microwave. It is a quick and mess free way to cook corn on the cob. It is a simple way to cook as few or as many ears of corn you want.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fresh Corn on the Cob
  • Paper Towels
  • Microwave Safe Plate
  • Microwave
  1. Step 1
     

    Shuck fresh ears of corn by taking all the green leaves off.

  2. Step 2

    Remove as much corn silk as you can by running the ears under cold water and wiping it down with a wet paper towel.

  3. Step 3

    Take one paper towel per ear of corn and gently wet it with cold water. The towel will be a bit fragile when wet, so use care when straightening it out.

  4. Step 4
     

    Wrap the ear of corn in the wet paper towel and place on the microwave safe plate.

  5. Step 5

    Cook each ear of corn for 3 minutes. Turn the ears of corn and then cook for another 3 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Remove plate from microwave, with an oven mitt the plate will probably be hot and remove paper towel from ear of corn. Careful the corn will be hot!

  7. Step 7

    Serve corn with your favorite toppings, butter, salt, seasoning salt, chili powder, cumin, etc.

    Enjoy!
