Replacing the spark plug wires is simple and a must to insure proper maintenance of your vehicle. It will help it to run longer and better.

Things You'll Need:

  • New plug Wires
  1. Step 1

    First let me say, this article will not help those needing to change spark plug boots only spark plugs wires. To locate your plug wires, look for the distributor cap. It is located near the front or the side of the motor. It is round black and has wires plugged onto the top of it.

  2. Step 2

    After locating them, remove only one at a time. You do not want to mix them up and chance not getting them back in order.

  3. Step 3

    To replace them, pop one wire off the distributor cap and the other side off the spark plug.

  4. Step 4

    Compare this wire with the new ones. This way you can find the right one to replace it with as they are not all the same length.

  5. Step 5

    Repeat steps above to replace the remaining plug wires.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your vehicle is cool when replacing the plug wires
