During the first few weeks on Atkins, or any low carb diet, energy levels can be at an all time low. There are four great ways to get more energy while on the Atkins diet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Coffee
  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Energy Shots
  • Vitamin B12
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Drink coffee three times a day. There are zero carbohydrates in 6 ounces of coffee with 1 tablespoon of heavy whipping cream. Make sure to drink the coffee with no packet sweeteners or sugar. Sugar is 100% carbohydrates and each packet of calorie free sweetener has 1 carbohydrate.

  2. Step 2

Have a shot. Many energy shots on the market today are calorie free and carbohydrate free. To stay away from the jitters and still get more energy on Atkins, make sure to choose an energy drink that does not contain caffeine.

  3. Step 3

Increase your Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 can help you to get more energy on Atkins naturally. The best choice are the sublingual tablets. These need to be held under the tongue for 30 seconds and then chewed.

  4. Step 4

Drink more water. Alot of the trouble with a decrease in energy on the Atkins diet is the proper flushing of fat out of the body. Drinking more water can help that fat flush away and make you feel more energetic in the process.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always drink plenty of water on Atkins.
  • NEVER choose an energy drink with sugar or tons of caffeine.
