How to Turn on your Cannon Digital Camera

Buying a new camera is exciting and fun, but learning all of its features can be difficult! You've got to start somewhere so lets begin with simply turning on and off you Canon digital camera! In this How-to I will be using a Canon SD750, but a lot of Canon's are very similar!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Digital Camera

    After you have opened your camera and have made sure there is a charged battery and memory card in there, you need to turn it on! Position the camera so that you can see the top edge of it. You should see the power button labeled "on/off"

  2. Step 2
     

    Here is a better view of this button. This button will turn the camera on and off so that you can take pictures or view pictures stored on your camera. Simply push the button once and the lens will extend outwards, or push the button again and the lens will retract and the camera will power off.

  3. Step 3

    You can also push the small play button on the back face of the camera, which will load your stored photos for viewing without extending the lens.
