The mind is truly a terrible thing to waste, and on top of that, the mind is the one thing that can ruin a person's outlook on the future, present and past as well as cause any individual to collapse into a seriously depressed and vulnerable state. This is the reason why it is extremely important to detoxify your mind so that it can be used to benefit you and those around you.

  1. Step 1

Think on only good things. Bad things will happen during this life of any and all individuals, and though it seems that these bad items overshadow all the good, don't allow them to do so. The more power that you give the storms of life, the more powerful they are, therefore, as a Christian, remember not the storm, but the God who calms storms. Begin to always look at the numerous good things that surround the one or two bad things, thank God for those good things while meditating on them.

  2. Step 2

Know that what you allow to enter inside will have a hard time leaving back into the outside, therefore, only listen and view things that edify the spirit and mind. You are influenced by just about everything around you. As a result of this, it is important to keep positive influences before you as much as you can. Negativity is just as contagious as positivity, therefore, be careful about what you let in.

  3. Step 3

Finally, pray for wisdom and strength to conquer negative thoughts and actions. Many times, thoughts and actions go hand in hand, especially over the long run. By conquering this type of negative thought pattern through positive prayer and confession of bad thinking on top of studying the Word of God and praying for your enemies, you are actually freeing up yourself to improvement in action and thought by simply being willing to change. The world will transform before your eyes as you no longer allow bad interpretations and surroundings to influence you. You will be influenced instead by your good Godly thought.
