Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Make a paste. Pastes can be made using one part baking soda and one part hydrogen peroxide. An alternative paste calls for only baking soda mixed with water. Yet another solution can be using granulated dishwasher detergent and just enough water to make the mix wet.
-
Step 2
Using a tooth brush or soft cleaning brush, scrub the perspiration stain. You want to be especially careful with lighter fabrics, such as thin cotton. If scrubbing is too harsh for your fabric, gently rub the paste into the stain.
-
Step 3
Let the shirt sit for 30 minutes, then launder in regular laundry detergent and one cup of white vinegar. The vinegar not only helps to remove the remaining remnants of the stain, but it also removes the foul perspiration odor.
