Step 1
The items you will need are a set of fuses, and a fuse puller.

Start by securing the car. Switch off your ignition. You should have no electrical current during check.

Find the fuse panel. Most vehicles have their fuse panel located under the steering column towards the driver’s door.

Now remove the fuse panel cover. They should have a fuse diagram on the cover. Different colors represent different amps of fuses. Use your owner’s manual if you can’t locate your fuse box.

A fuse panel is located in the engine compartment under the hood. Some cars have two fuse panels. One for the engine components and one for the interior components.

Step 6
Check the fuse diagram. It tells you which fuse corresponds to which component. Determine which fuse you need to remove.

Step 7
Remove the fuse. To remove a fuse, use your fuse puller to pull it out. Check the fuse. If the metal link is separated, it’s blown.

Step 8
Place a new fuse in the fuse puller. Push the new fuse into the slot. Push down with finger to make sure it’s secured. So that’s it, you are done.
