1
Purchase a new edition AMP'D mobile phone. These phones were probably made after the company went bankrupt. If it was not, than the phone will not work on the AT&T network because the connection signal is different. One version of a new AMP'D phone is the Motorola RAZR AMP'D edition.

Remove the SIM card from your previous AT&T cell phone. The SIM card contains all the information about your phone, including your phone number, name and the contacts (if they were saved to the SIM). The SIM card can be found in many different areas on the phones (depending on the make and model). Open the battery compartment and remove the battery. The SIM card is commonly found there.
