• Baby Shampoo or Dawn dish soap

1. Buy Baby Shampoo or Dawn dish soap. Kittens under 8 weeks cannot be treated with topical flea treatments or medicated shampoo. But you can still kill the fleas with either the baby shampoo or Dawn.

2. You will need either Baby Shampoo or Dawn dish soap. Put about a quarter sized amount in your hand and massage first into neck area. This creates a barrier, so that the fleas will stay on the body and not go toward the head/eyes/ears. Then wash body as you normally would. Keep on for 5-10 minutes. Repeat every 2-3 days for 2 weeks and your kitten should be flea free!

3. Repeat every 2-3 days for 2 weeks as there still may be flea eggs. The shampoo/dish soap does not kill the eggs. Use a flea comb if you have one available. Remember to always start at the necl area as stated above.
