How to Get Audibles to Work
Audibles are animated talking emoticons that are included in the installation of Yahoo! Instant Messenger. If you want to add more pizzazz to your instant messages, you can use audibles to express a range of emotions and sentiments. Yahoo! periodically adds new audibles to represent different holidays and seasons. To incorporate audibles into your chats, you only need to enable them.

Launch Yahoo! Messenger.

Sign in with your Yahoo! ID and password.

Press CTRL+Shift+P to open the Preferences menu.

Click "Messages" in the category menu on the left.

Check the box next to "Enable Audibles" and click "OK."

Double-click on the name of the friend you would like to chat with. Click the "Audibles" button above the box where you enter your text. Click "More Audibles" to select what category of audible you would like to send. The audibles will load in a window above your text box. Click on the audible you would like to send and click the blue "Send" button that appears on the image.
