Go to the Verizon Media Store (see Reference below). This article will provide an example using a Verizon Wireless phone. In order to legally have a ring-back tone, one must be purchased from a ring-back provider. However, a much easier option is to purchase one directly from your cell phone company.

Look to the left of the webpage under the "Genre" section. Listed in alphabetical order, click on the "Country" section.

Find the artist/song you wish to purchase. Do this by browsing and finding the ring-back tone of your choice. In the center of the page you will see New Ring-Back Tone options, and on the right hand side you will see the currently most popular ring-back tones that may help you find what you are looking for.

Click on the artist. This will open up a profile for them. A list will be given of all their available media selections. Find the song you wish to appear as your ring-back tone, and next to it click the "Buy Ringback Tone" button.
