Connecting your DISH Network receiver to a telephone line allows you to do more than just watch TV. A phone line gives your receiver the ability to contact the DISH Network system, allowing you to order pay-per-view programming and update your programming packages directly from your remote control, pay your bill, play games and use Caller ID on your television.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • DISH Network receiver
  • Phone line cable
  1. Step 1

Connect your DISH Network receiver to your television using the included audio and video cables, if you haven't already done so.

  2. Step 2

Plug one end of the phone line cable into the phone jack located in the back of your receiver. The cable should be included in the packaging along with your receiver, but if it isn't, any standard phone cable will work.

  3. Step 3

Plug the other end of the phone cable into a working phone jack. Your receiver will now be able to connect to the DISH Network system.
