  • Peppermint: Peppermint is known for soothing stomach pain. This is because it has an anti-spasmodic effect on the digestive system.

  • The smooth muscles of the body are muscles over which we have no control - such as the beating of the heart. They are controlled by the brain, as opposed to our conscious movement. Spasms of the stomach, intestines and bladder are very uncomfortable. Fortunately, there are herbs that possess anti-spasmodic properties.
