How to Install a Multimedia Controller

A multimedia controller is a device used by the computer to adjust the settings of a multimedia-based program, which can be anything from a special design program to a video game. Because of the wide assortment of programs, there is likewise a wide assortment of controllers. Multimedia controllers range from standard keyboards to specially designed volume knobs for sound and video editing. Most multimedia controllers install through the USB port of the computer.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Plug the multimedia controller into the computer via the USB cable.

  2. Step 2

    Insert the driver installation disk into the computer. In a few moments the installation wizard will load. Follow the set-up prompts to complete the driver installation. Upon completion of the setup, the controller configuration will most likely open (if one is needed).

  3. Step 3

    Follow the instructions of the controller configuration. This consists of moving the device's knobs in specific directions or pressing down designated keys. Once this is complete, the multimedia controller is ready for use.
