Depending on where you download your media, it may not be labeled properly. This can cause you to misplace media (such as music or movies) or copy duplicate files inside your Creative Zen MP3 player. Happily, it is not difficult to remove duplicates.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Connect your Creative Zen to your computer. Wait until it is recognized.

  2. Step 2

Click the "Start" button in the taskbar. Select the "My Computer" button.

  3. Step 3

    Click the "Zen" icon.

  4. Step 4

    Select "Browse Media".

  5. Step 5

Choose the folder (i.e., music) you want to search for duplicates.

  6. Step 6

Right-click in an empty space in the main Music folder. Select "View" and choose "Album". This will list all the files in alphabetical order, making it easier to pinpoint duplicates.

  7. Step 7

Delete any duplicates by right-clicking and pressing "delete".

Tips & Warnings
  • If you know the name of what you want to look for, you can search for specific files (or duplicates) by pressing the "Search" button at the top of the Creative Zen window.
