Learn to make the creamiest, best tasting ice cream in almost any flavor, without using an ice cream maker!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 T water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipping cream, whipped 'til soft peaks
  1. Step 1

Everyone will absolutely LOVE this ice cream, and it's incredibly easy to make. It tastes like real homemade custard! And you can change one ingredient and even add one to make different flavors. This recipe is for vanilla. However, I often add 1 T cinnamon for a flavorful ice cream that's great with pie, especially for the holidays! Or you can change from vanilla extract to peppermint, add some red food coloring and crushed peppermint, or add green food coloring and some mini chocolate chips! Anything goes!

  2. Step 2

For the original vanilla ice cream, try this...
Pour 2 cups whipping cream into large deep bowl. Whip on high with a hand mixer until soft peaks appear (it will take a few minutes). Using a rubber spatula, fold in 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, 2 T water, and 1 tsp vanilla extract into the whipped cream. Make sure to scrape the bottom and sides well so everything is well mixed together. Put the cream mixture in plastic containers with lids, and freeze over night. Enjoy!

  3. Step 3

Surely you can go crazy thinking of a variety of goodies to add to this recipe that anyone will love!
