How to Spray Paint a Rose Stencil on Blinds

You can customize items by spray painting stencils on them. For example, you can paint stencils for walls, for the nursery, or even your car. Add a twist to blinds in your home by adding a stenciled design to them as well. You can either make your own stencils or purchase them.

Things You'll Need

• Newspaper or poster board
• Marker
• Craft knife
• Quick-dry spray paint
• Drop cloth

Instructions

1. Draw a picture of a rose on newspaper or poster board.

2. Use a craft knife to cut out the picture.

3. Put a drop cloth on a flat surface. For example, you can use the floor or table.

4. Take down the blinds on which you want to put the stencil.

5. Lay the blinds on the drop cloth.

6. Put small pieces of masking tape on the back side of the newspaper so it can stick to the stencil and blind, preventing shifting or moving.

7. Hold the spray paint can at least 12 inches away, and spray the stencil in a sweeping motion.

8. Let dry for approximately 10 minutes.

9. Remove the stencil.

• Be careful not to overspray and get paint on the blinds beyond the stencil area.
