learn how to make a prop lightsaber for homemade movies

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • either pvc pipe
  • duct tape
  • green, red, or blue tape depending on the color of your lightsaber
  1. Step 1

Saw your pvc pipe to about 3 feet, with enough room for a handle.

if you want a sturdier lightsaber, you can use carbon or aluminium tubing for the blade.

you can get these pieces at your local hardware store.

  2. Step 2

you can do a search on the internet on how to make a high quality hilt, or you can wrap duct tape around the length of your handle.
duct tape will look real, but a custom made hilt will be much better.

  3. Step 3

wrap your colored tape around the blade. this will give it the color and keep it from breaking as easily as i t would without it

if you hit hard enough, the blade will snap, so don't hit too hard!

  4. Step 4

if you want a double bladed lightsaber, like in the picture, cut the pipe to around 7 feet. wrap the middle six inches with duct tape or a custom made handle found off the internet.

Tips & Warnings
  • don't hit hard with it, you may cut off a limb!
