Things You'll Need:

  • Blackberry Tour
  • Cell Phone Plan
  • Patience
  • Time
  1. Step 1

Ask for assistance at the Cell Phone store (Verizon Wireless carries the Blackberry Tour). When you talk to the Verizon Wireless salesperson, ask them about various features such as: how to check your voicemail, navigate the Internet, get free Ringtones, find new Applications or learn other popular features of the phone. Go back to the store or call anytime if you can't figure out a feature- they know the phone's detailed features and can provide valuable information. Ask the sales person to set up your email and transfer contacts from your old phone before you go!

  2. Step 2

Set aside an hour to just play with the phone. Click the various buttons to see where they lead you. You might find some of the more fun features such as the games, applications, bluetooth, Pandora music and more. Plus learning to navigate using the various back buttons or the roller-ball mouse will help you become more familiar with learning to stumble through the phone's useful features.

  3. Step 3

Read the manual to get a more step-by-step tour of the Blackberry Tour's various features. Learn about the features the Options button will allow you to access, as well as what the various symbols (such as Alt, sym and del) mean.

  4. Step 4

Search the Internet for various reviews on the phone. You can find a variety of new tips and hints for ease of navigation as well as to find new free or cheap applications that can be used on the phone itself.

  5. Step 5

Take a Blackberry Training Course. If you search Blackberry's website, you can find an option to take a training course for users or for administrators. This can help you learn the various feature the Blackberry Tour has to offer.

  6. Step 6

Ask questions on Yahoo Answers. Many users around the world may see your question and will be able to answer it at any time of day. This may be a useful answer if you don't want to go back to the Verizon store or call the company. You might encounter many people throughout the world who have had the same problems or questions you are having, and the solutions they found for those issues.

  7. Step 7

Search for Internet blogs or websites about the Tour. Many people will dedicate pages of Internet data to the use of this Smart Phone. So go to the search engines and look for blogs or other online resources that may help you learn how to use your phone.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't forget to use Bluetooth if the laws in your state require it.
  • This phone may be addicting- beware and buy at your own risk!

on 9/3/2009 The intent of this article was not to show you how to use the Blackberry Tour, but to indicate where you can learn more about the Tour. Purchasing a new phone can be very overwhelming, so learning where you can get more information (such as your sales associate), can be extremely helpful. I hope that clarifies the intent of the article for you.
