Are you looking for a way to make money online without carrying any inventory or hassling with shipping? Then selling custom t-shirts could be the online business for you. They are an online printing company that offers you the opportunity to create graphic designs at home and upload them to their website for placement on t-shirts and other gift and/or novelty items.

Step 1

OPEN A CAFEPRESS ACCOUNT- (See the link below in resources)

This is a simple process. You will need to complete an application, including your social security number for payout and IRS information. Here is where you can choose whether to open a Basic Shop, which is free, or a Premium Shop, for a small fee.
Step 2

CREATE DESIGNS-

Here is where the fun comes in. You can create designs with minimal software. Programs like Paint and Publisher are great for this. If you are a free hand artist then draw some designs of your own and scan them to the computer.
Step 3

PRICE YOUR ITEMS-

Cafepress will have a beginning wholesale t-shirt price, in order to make a profit you just need to adjust the price to the amount you feel your designs are worth. It's a good idea to check the shops of other Cafepress members to get an idea of the going rate for t-shirts in your category.
Step 4

PROMOTE YOUR DESIGNS-

In order to sell your great designs people need to know about them. Tell your friends and family. Send out emails. Place pictures of your designs on Myspace. Join forums that discuss the topic your tees are based on. Most importantly, wear your t-shirt designs.
