Make a Crock Pot Roast Beef

Crock pots are a great way to have make an easy family meal with little to clean up! Try this Italian Roast Beef; a recipe that even the kids will love!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 10 pound rump roast
  • 1 large can of tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • Celery Salt
  • Crock Pot
  1. Step 1

To begin, place the roast beef into the crock pot and pour one large can of tomatoes on top. Any type of canned tomatoes work (diced, whole, crushed, etc).

  2. Step 2

Sprinkle celery salt generously on top of the roast. You should not need any water, as the juice from the tomatoes and the roast beef itself should be sufficient. Dice up the onion toss in with the roast beef and tomatoes. Stir so that the juices coat everything evenly, and cover the crock pot!

  3. Step 3

Cook the Italian Roast Beef on low heat for 8-10 hours. Shred the meat with a fork and serve on large Kaiser buns or your preferred roll. With a side of potato salad, you've made a meal that no one can resist!

Tips & Warnings
  • If the roast beef is too large for your crock pot you can also cook the dish in the oven on a very low heat.
  • Buying two smaller roasts and using two crock pots works also!
