Things You'll Need:
- Butter
- American Cheese
- Cheddar Cheese
- Velveeta Cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
- Bread
- Frying pan and spatula
- Stove top
-
Step 1
Frying panUse a flat non stick frying pan and a non metal spatula to fry the sandwich. Slice the bread and cheese if necessary, lay the cheese on top of a slice of bread. Cover with the second slice of bread. Spread some softened butter on the outsides of both slices of bread. Place the sandwich into a heated skillet.
-
Step 2
Grilled Cheese SandwichCook on medium heat. Watch your grilled sandwich closely because butter burns easily. Flip sandwich several times to ensure the cheese is melted completely. When the bread is evenly browned, it is ready to remove from the pan. Let cool before eating.
-
Step 3
OlivesSome delicious options – add some sliced green olives and bacon to the cheese. Use three different cheeses, American, Parmesan, and Cheddar. Ham, turkey, bologna or tuna fish make tasty additions.
