Ther is an easy way to make a simple bird feeder that the birds will love! I have two different kinds for different species of birds.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large pine cone
  • peanut butter
  • bird seed
  • rubber spatula
  • picture wire
  • a portion of suet from the meat man at the grocery store
  1. Step 1

For the first feeder you will need the pine cone, the peanut butter and the bird seed. Choose a bird seed for the type of birds you want to attract to your yard.

  2. Step 2

Take the picture wire and wrap it around the pine cone several times, starting at the bottom and working your way up. Leave approximatley three feet extra coming off the top of the cone to hang around a branch. Next take a rubber spatula and gently smear it all around the pine cone.

  3. Step 3

Next pour bird seed into a large bowl and roll the pine cone with the peanut butter in the seed, making sure to coat the entire cone. Next find a tree in your yard with a nice out-stretched branch and wrap the excess wire around the branch.

  4. Step 4

Another simple bird feeder is to get suet from your meat man at the grocery store. Wrap some wire around it a few times and hang it from a tree branch.
