Instructions

    • 1

Take a shower and exfoliate your skin with a cloth washcloth. This ensures a long-lasting, natural-looking sunless tan. Pay special attention to places that have creases.

    • 2

Hydrate your skin daily with a high-quality moisturizer. Do not use moisturizer on the actual day of application, however.

    • 3

Test a spot of your skin for at least 24 hours with the product you plan to use. You want to make sure you are not allergic to the sunless self tanner.

    • 4

Apply the lotion in circular motions. Begin on your legs and work your way up in sections. If you do your face, avoid the eyebrows.

    • 5

Wash your hands off every five minutes as you apply the lotion. Otherwise, you may end up with orange-tinted fingers.

    • 6

Wait at least 30 minutes before dressing in loose clothing. Be sure the self tanner is completely dry before dressing in your regular clothes or going to sleep.

    • 7

Wait for the results to appear. If you're unhappy with the depth of tan, reapply it soon.

    • 8

Be sure to wear sunblock, since a fake tan is not a real tan.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not apply sunless tanner the day of or a day before a big event. Do it at least three days ahead of time to avoid a mishap.
